We previously had a food truck and did a cooperate lunch at a company who was dog friendly.
We met our first Bernedoodles that day and fell in love with them.
My wife said at that time “when we are ready to get another dog, we will get a Bernedoodle.”
We went to Charlotte, NC for a get-away weekend and were visiting a brewery. We saw a
young lady carrying around a cute puppy which was a shepherd doodle. We talked to her and
told her about meeting the Bernedoodles and how we really wanted one at some point. She
said, ‘the breeder where I got my puppy has 2 Bernedoodles left.” I was quick to ask for her
contact information and called to see if we could see the puppies.
We went to see them the next day on the way out of town. All the way there my wife
continually talked about how we needed to just discuss the breed and when she might have
another litter ready. We got there and met 2 boys. They had just opened their eyes. I picked
one little boy up and said if you go home with me, you have to know I am the boss. He seemed
to talk back making all kinds of cute puppy sounds. I held the other little boy and talked to him
as well but he did not respond quite the same way.
My wife immediately told me to pay the lady and we begin to prepare for a new adventure.
However, little did I know how much I would love this little boy.
Jax is goofy, loving, demanding, and the best listener. He has eyes that look right through you.
Jax and I talk daily. He is my best friend. He loves to go for rides and long walks. He loves to
meet people. He quickly captures the heart of most people he encounters.
When we decided to take the adventure with the new restaurant, it just made sense to us to
include him in this business. He is apart of life in everyway and this was no different. We are
dog lovers and want to partner with local shelters to help raise money throughout the year.
